The 2023 International Women’s Day is celebrated annually to acknowledge the unique strength and resilience of women across the world. It is a global celebration in most parts of the world to take conscious cognisance of the unprecedented achievements of women in society.
Some activities lined up to celebrate the 2023 International Women’s Day included a Novelty Football Match and Family Fun Day, which took place at the Guards Polo Club, in Abuja. The event was not just a day of competition but also a celebration of teamwork and unity, where management and employees of the Bank came together to create unforgettable memories.
The Country Director for Pathfinder International, Dr. Amina Dorayi, and Hon. Commissioner, National Commission for Refugees, Migrant and Internally Displaced Persons, Hon. Iman Suleiman- Ibrahim, both gave a charge on the need to build inclusive workplaces that support women to excel and emphasised the need for self-development and exposure to digital innovation as a tool for social, economic, cultural, and political empowerment.
